Project Swan

A novel saliva test for Fatty Liver Disease, seeking funding

A novel diagnostic solution leveraging easy to collect fluids such as sweat, saliva and urine. Built as a commercial spin-out from a renowned university, the company has developed the first patented saliva-based assay for the screening of Fatty Liver Disease. A disease that affects c.30% of adults globally.

The company aims to crack the $20B Fatty Liver Disease market by identifying at risk patients sooner and funnelling them into new pharrmacotherapies. Their secondary assets are saliva-based mRNA panels for identifying oral and oropharyngeal cancer – both of which do not currently have a non-invasive diagnostic solution.

The company is raising funds to turn benchtop science into a working prototype.
